Job description

As a Software Asset Management Consultant, your responsibilities include optimizing clients' software assets, ensuring license compliance, supporting cost-saving initiatives, and advising clients on licensing strategies. Key skills required are strong knowledge of software licensing models, experience with SAM tools, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in data analytics.

Responsibility

• Assist clients in managing the full lifecycle of their software assets.
• Conduct software license audits and ensure compliance.
• Analyze software usage data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Assist in the implementation and configuration of SAM tools.
• Develop and deliver detailed reports on software usage, compliance, and optimization.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients on software licensing strategies.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Software Asset Management, Licensing Compliance, or IT Asset Management.
• Strong knowledge of software licensing models for major vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SAP).
• Experience with SAM tools such as Flexera, Snow, ServiceNow.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Experience with cloud licensing models is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM), ITIL, or vendor-specific certifications are preferred.
