Job description

The Senior Security Engineering Manager role involves leading a high-performing Security Operations Center (SOC) to innovate in threat detection, response, and automation while managing incident volumes and enhancing detection capabilities. Candidates should have extensive hands-on security experience, including cyber-attacks, threat vectors, and incident management, along with skills in stakeholder management and team development.

Responsibility

• Leads and develops a SOC L3 team of 8+ cybersecurity engineers.
• Provides technical insight on Incident response, Threat hunting, Forensics, Malware analysis, and Automation.
• Ensures strong KRA and KPI management.
• Provide clarity in the scope of work and define accountabilities between teams.
• Embraces the values of Microsoft through coaching and collaboration.
• Partnering with peer teams working in similar areas.

Qualifications

• Manage critical stakeholder calls and meetings while addressing critical security incidents.
• Possess extensive hands-on knowledge of security concepts including cyber-attacks, techniques, threat vectors, risk management, and incident management.
• Discover potential automation opportunities or insights to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate and advise product teams on enhancing Microsoft's first-party security products.
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive team environment.
• Exceptional operational rigor with experience in SOC operations/Threat hunting/Incident Response.
• Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.
• Ability to partner with stakeholder teams.
• Systematic problem-solving mindset.
• Minimum 10 years of total Security operations and 5 years of directly managing team.
• In-depth knowledge of Operating systems (Windows, Linux, and MAC OS).
• Knowledge on Network (LAN and WAN) to understand the threat landscape.
• Knowledge on KQL is added advantage.
