Job description

This internship involves collaborating with Security Operations Center teams to address real-time threats, conduct security analysis, and enhance cybersecurity projects. Required skills include pursuing a bachelor's degree in fields like Computer Science, and basic cybersecurity certifications and programming knowledge such as Python.

Responsibility

• Research attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems’ security and determine next steps, including potential escalations.
• Develop and implement automation of security processes and procedures where possible and translate security policy into effective controls.
• Respond to security incidents, conduct threat intelligence and analysis, and use data analytics to drive security decisions.
• Conduct and support red/purple team operations or improve security posture.
• Maintain hardware, software, network firewalls, and encryption protocols, and administer security policies to control access to systems.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
• Must have at least one additional quarter/semester of school remaining following the completion of the internship.
• Basic Cyber security certifications with Python and other programming languages.
