Job description

As a Security Engineer in Retail Engineering at Apple, you will secure various customer and payment systems across online and flagship stores and understand the security impacts of technologies like machine learning and cloud. Responsibilities include performing threat models, penetration testing, providing security guidance, building relationships to foster security culture, participating in Red Team operations, supporting Blue Teams, and developing security tooling.

Responsibility

• Perform threat models and architecture reviews of complex projects.
• Conduct penetration testing against a wide range of technologies and communicate findings.
• Provide guidance and education on security to partnering teams.
• Build relationships and influence to improve security culture.
• Participate in or lead Red Team operations.
• Support Blue Teams in responding to threats and enhancing detections.
• Develop tooling to support primary responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience performing threat models or architecture reviews.
• Strong ability to penetration test application, infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of fundamental networking and security concepts
• Programming/scripting skills with the ability to audit code in languages like Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.
• Proficiency in MacOS and other Unix based systems
• Knowledge of cloud architecture and security
• BSc in Computer Science or related field.
• OSCP or OSWE certification (preferred).
