The Principal Security Research Manager role is focused on leading a team of security researchers to innovate and defend against advanced cyber threats, contributing to the vision and strategy of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. The candidate must have strong leadership skills, an in-depth understanding of the security landscape, and experience in managing and nurturing security talent.

Responsibility

• Create vision and direction for security research based on threat landscape.
• Provide thought leadership to influence product roadmap and protection strategies.

Qualifications

• B. Tech. in Computer Science, Software or Computer Engineering, Cyber Security or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cyber security.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Understanding of threats on mobile (Android & iPhone OS), Linux and macOS platforms.
• Preferred background in malware reversing, analysis, and endpoint threat understanding.
• Strong leadership competencies.
